• Reviewing RFQs to assure understanding; this consists of asking questions for clarification, pointing out potential oversights and inconsistencies based on previous jobs and known customer standards, suggesting cost saving and performance enhancing opportunities.
• Procuring quality materials/components at the lowest cost; this consists of real-time soliciting of multiple suppliers, unless otherwise directed by our customer, for component pricing to include on the RFP response.
• Proactively monitoring job progress and adherence to customer deadlines; this consists of making sure all components ordered are received on a timely basis, a wireman/woman is identified and clearly understands the job requirements, and quality control is aware of testing deadlines to meet customer factory acceptance testing and/or shipping dates.
• Effectively communicating with the customer; this consists of addressing any customer change requests quickly, resolving problems or questions and communicating any delays.
• Initiating shipping and billing; this consists of confirming shipping addresses and details, completing all forms and making sure product is appropriately protected for shipping.
• Closing the job file; this consists of assuring the file contains all as-built drawings, customer correspondence, quote letters, purchase orders, shipping documents, invoices, etc. Job files are maintained for a minimum of seven (7) years.
